Zubair Khan studied bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy at Bangalore Medical College and Masters in physiotherapy at Ramaiah Medical College. He started his clinical practise by working in multiple sports clinics in Bangalore. He joined Nova Speciality surgery in 2010 as the chief physical therapist, where an encounter with Dr Mahesh Reddy fuelled his interest in the shoulder.

He was awarded a travelling fellowship in shoulder rehabilitation by Salford University in 2013, where he had the opportunity to work with eminent shoulder experts, len funk, Angus Wallace, during the period in the UK. He also had the opportunity to spend some time With Jo Gibson. He gained expertise in the shoulder.

He joined Apollo Spectra Hospitals in 2013 as a consultant shoulder therapist working and currently holding the position. In order to increase his special interest in kinetic chain Assessment and rehabilitation, he completed his Selective functional Movement Assessment course in the year 2016 from Australia.

He also worked in Australia for some time at Back in Motion Melbourne Victoria- Under the guidance of APA title Musculoskeletal & Sports Physiotherapist – 2016. Zubair started his clinic in 2014 -The Physio Human Performance, mainly working on musculoskeletal and sports rehabilitation. At present, he is handling a team of 9 people plus a strength and conditioning coach.

He is the head of the physiotherapy department – Centre for Sports Science Kanteerava Stadium, where he closely works with different athletes, helping them recover from the injury and increasing their performance.

Zubair’s interest lies in Assessment & treating atraumatic shoulder pathologies and working in injury prevention protocols for Athletes.

He is fascinated with Professor Jeremy Lewis PhD approach to encountering shoulder pathologies and completed his extensive course and became a tutor to teach his concept in India.
