Physiotherapist
Dr. Roshna Meraj is a physiotherapist specializing in treating musculoskeletal and orthopaedic problems and strongly advocates for physical exercise. She discovered her passion for physiotherapy while volunteering at an NGO and decided to pursue a career. She graduated from DR.N.T.R University of Vijayawada with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree.
The most commonly treated problems in her practice at “Daksha’s” (https://dakshas.org/), an ‘NGO’ in Hyderabad, were those affecting the lower back, neck, shoulders, wrists, and hands. Her therapeutic approach is primarily exercise-based, and her physiotherapy experience allows her to prescribe specialized exercises tailored to her patients’ specific needs. As the NGO conducts health camps in remote areas she passionately believes in patient education and a holistic approach, and she always includes a social prescription.
Later, she worked as a clinical physiotherapist in Vishakhapatnam’s “Laser Physiotherapy Clinic,” where she applied electrotherapy modalities, electro-acupuncture, and taping to improve the success of her treatments.
She believes in an evidence-based approach for the treatment and keeps continuing her CPD (continuous progressive development) She did a thesis in Pilates and attended workshops on “Postural analysis and Corrective exercise strategies” at Apollo Life Studio, Apollo Health City, “Basic concepts of Kinesio taping and its application” at D.C.M.S. College of Physiotherapy and “Advance orthopaedics workshop on techniques in shoulder and knee rehabilitation” at Continental Hospital helps her in better evaluation and treatment of patients.

When she’s not treating patients, she keeps fit with Pilates and enjoys spending time with her nephews and nieces, as well as cricket.
